Dailey, DDS

Dr. Raymond Dailey is the Clinical Dentist of the Swinomish Clinic where he helps lead the effort to address the oral health crisis in Indian country. He is currently working with two dental therapists through their preceptorships. Dr. Dailey is an advocate for a well-rounded dental team utilizing dental therapists and expanding the functions of dental assistants, as well as recognizing the importance of culturally competent care and diversifying the dental profession.

Dr. Dailey completed his dental education at the University of North Carolina. After graduation, he returned to the Pacific Northwest and worked with the Klamath Tribal Community in Oregon for two years before taking a job with the Swinomish Tribal Community, where he has provided dental care for more than 20 years. During his time with the Swinomish Dental Clinic, Dr. Dailey has seen it grow from 4 chairs to 14. He was one of the first dentists in Washington to testify for dental therapists in Olympia. Dr. Dailey continues to volunteer his time providing free dental care to migrant farm workers with the Dental Van sponsored by Sea-Mar.
